Busy all day - will catch up tomorrow. Have a good Sunday all (don't forget to check last pages of previous thread. Somebody has been posting photos of puppies again!)

  • LYNETTE Hope trip to dentist goes well.

LINDY/GEORGE  totally agree, please rescue a dog George. It would give you both pleasure for however long it lasts.

Discharged from Raigmore this am and told to wean myself off crutches as soon as poss and keep up the swimming.   OHs parents and sister received their cards and vouchers yesterday so definitely a case of better late than never. Off to Tiso for coffee and to try on sale boots they have put aside for me. Right foot/leg still swollen and will be for sometime to come so must really weigh things up when I try them on.

  • Good  morning original goldfinch wonderful pics of the gull repelling all boarders.  We have gulls flying around over the park next to us but for the first time one was on my bird patio helping itself to the worms that I put out, cheeky devil.  Was interesting to read about agressive blackbirds but have to say when we had the snow we were getting 4 blackbirds in together and no fighting.  Must have been a case of survival and it was better to eat than fight.

All the family are hoping that my sister's husband will be listened to now.  It was just an awful time for the whole family.  Will be finding out when her treatment starts once she has been  for a check up next week.

  • Good morning geroge g so pleased that your snow has gone and you can think about going out now.  Nice to read about your goldfinches returning to your garden.   A dog would be a wonderful companion for you and I am sure you would gain so much pleasure from it.  I know it has to be thought about seriously but perhaps you could foster a dog as someone has mentioned.  Take care of yourself and hope you don't get too much rain.

  • Good morning Lindybird hope you enjoyed the shower that you managed to have at long last.

Thanks you for you kind thoughts about my sister.  It is amazing how life can give you a real kick in the teeth at times.  I am jsut hoping that her husband will now get some satisfactory replies to the letter he is going to write.  All the confusion made the situation far worse for him.  Probably just as well my sister had no idea what was going on when she was in such a confused state.  An awful lot for him to bear thought.

I thought it was very sad about Lola, Lincoln is worried that she may have been poisoned and that would be just awful if that is the case.  Palemale and Lola have been together for quite a while but as you say it hasn't taken him long to find another mate.

  • Good morning Brenda H what terrible weather overnight, torrential rain for hours and now garden resembling a swamp again.  Sunny now with a cool wind but more rain forecast for the rest of the week.

We will be wondering for ever why her GP did not refer to a consultant sooner.  I am hoping my BIL will get some satisfactory answers to all his questions.  The way things had gone made it even more stressful for him.

I hope the weather will hold out for the funeral on Friday. Will be thinking of all of you.

  • aquilareen thankyou for your kind thoughts.  It has been a rather worrying time and still a long way to go yet for my sister .

Tragic news about the floods and now people drowned and others missing.  Also that there are bushfires South of Perth.  Makes me realise how lucky we are in the UK that although we do have floods and have this winter a lot of snow, we are not as badly off.  My heart really goes out to everyone who have lost everything and of course for the relatives of those who had died.

  • Annette thanks for the hug, I have needed a lot of hugs over the past couple of weeks.  Just goes to prove that you must live every day as it comes as none of us know what the future holds.

I felt very sad about Lola and Lincoln is worried that she may have been poisoned which would just be so wicked.

Hope you enjoyed your glass of wine.

  • Nice to see you again WendyB I had noticed that you had not posted for a couple of days.  I am assuming you still have a lot of snow to contend with.  Whenever is it going to end.  How lovely to see a red squirrel in your garden.  Hopefully she/he will return many times.

I see you will be down this way soon.  Hopefully by then the weather will have improved and you will see some ospreys having R and R before they fly north.
