HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the day. I hope you all have a joyful, peaceful time.
My heart is with those who are missing loved ones during this holiday season.
Tonight is the longest night of the year. It's very cold here, and some snow is glistening in the moonlight. The wildlife are hibernating in their burrows.
Love and hugs to all.
Glad I'm not alone, RUSTY ! She is really hard going but lovely with it. If that makes sense !. Looking forward to hearing about your holiday. I hope that you will feel better soon.
ANNETTE - I didn't know about your rotator cuff problem. It must get in the way of doing all that you want to do.
Get well soon RUSTY My OH and I Have also had a pretty nasty virus and I hope yours clears quicker than ours which is still hanging around after a couple of weeks.
RUSTY - I hope the fog has not gone off to Norfolk to meet you there! Wrap up warm for your trip - awfully cold there - it's where my OH grew up and it was a nightmare for me when I went to meet the folks!
GD is soldiering on - no change.
I had a horrid time at Christmas, but have found a new way to protect my sore heel at night, and am getting a bit more sleep and feel somewhat better today. That virus sticks around for ages - but then, I have had it in the bckground since November 2019 when J was in hospital for his thyroidectomy - yes, before they invented Covid!
Sorry some of you feel under the weather. Horrible when you're supposed to be jolly!
Been to hold baby Juno who is very heavy now and trying out her legs - I reckon she'll be walking before she's one year old. Her parents brought her north to here yesterday, to visit her granny-- and suffered an awful journey as did we. We visited my cousin in Leighton Buzzard and left at 12.30 --- We stopped for a sandwich which we bought en route in Waitrose, and pressed on through increasing fog. The roads got very busy and people were impatient- - we saw two accidents and several roadworks. These caused massive queues which we could do nothing about. After coming off the motorway early & pressing on again through the ordinary roads, we finally fell in through our front door at 6.40pm!! Aaaargh!!
I was heard to sey "I'm never doing this again!".....
Needless to say, we are weary today.
LINDY Sorry to hear you had such a nightmare journey home.
