HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a good week.
Winter has arrived on my patch. We had 2.5 inches (6.35 centimeters) of snow with 40 mph wind gusts on Thursday. It has melted now.
I left a carrot in the opening of the groundhog's burrow before the storm, but he didn't eat it. He's probably gone into hibernation. I left his carrot, in case we get the brief warm up predicted for Sunday and Monday.
I laughed this morning. Even with the cold, there was a lone surviving super mosquito flying around my bedroom.
Love and hugs to everyone!
Thanks OG !
Well. I thought I had better write something! Hope everyone is OK.
Yesterday I went out birdwatching to a local nature reserve with the ladies group. It was minus 1!! The frosty trees and grass sparkled and looked beautiful. We all had many layers on and kept warm. We saw the usual birds but the highlight was an otter in the river. I have been visiting that reserve for over 15 years. I volunteered there helping with children’s groups doing nature walks, pond dipping etc, but yesterday was a first. All those years I knew they were about from prints and other evidence but had never seen one. We were all very excited as you can imagine.
Back to earth today with shopping and garden tidying.
Like you PAT O we visited years ago and loved it.
Wonderful pics RUSTY than you.
PAT O O often ask for extra hot.
PAT my friend was given extra strong pain killers when she left the hospital. She was given 10 and told to take them only when necessary......she has taken 2. Things are going well and she will be off to start rehab in Manchester before Christmas.
