HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I'm in Indianapolis taking care of 5 dogs. Talk to you all later.

Everybody have a good week. Love and hugs to all.

  • AQ - how frustrating for you. Upsetting too. You don’t need that stress now. Glad you can rant on here. I hope you can get things sorted.

Lindy - you and your OH will be feeling the cold after your holidays. I too have washing “draped” round the bathroom and spare room!!! I have never had a drier. I like to hang my washing out whenever possible. By the way. I thought your poem was just right.

Guess what I have been doing this morning? Writing overseas Christmas cards! I am sending 8 in all. Stamps are £2.80!! It’s getting silly. I had a short lament in the Post Office about the fact that we no longer get a reduced rate to Europe since we left the EU! I have already received one from Canada. I have been talking with friends about the situation but, most people still say that they like to send and receive cards. It is going to get prohibitive before long though. I am off to see my 96 year old friend in the cottage hospital this afternoon. Apparently she is going home on the 25th and is very excited. She has an amazing spirit.

  • I so agree with LINDY      Please make sure you get things your way AQ.

My friends family had a bit of a problem about who should travel to LONDON with her......someone had to stay behind to look after the animals.  Murray of course had to go and Erica decided no 2 daughter also had to go as she was the one to arrive at the scene and see her Mum in a bloody mess (she needed 6 months off work)  Tickets were booked then dau no 1 kicked up a fuss as she wanted to go.  Murray bless him relinquished his seat then no 1 daughter said she didn't want to go after all but was disappointed she had not been given the choice so it was back to plan 1!!!!.  The op was on Tuesday and there was a bit of a setback as the bone cracked.  Apparently this is not a huge problem but will delay the rehab.  Not quite sure how they will manage to get home as Erica is not allowed to fly at the moment so it will be a hire car and as many stops as she needs for her comfort.  Yesterday she said she was feeling fantastic and the plan was to start the journey home today!!

  • So sorry about the hassles with your daughter AQ. Not what you need right now. I suppose everyone is rather overwrought. As you say, thank goodness only 2 to have their input!

Thinking of you. You must be very tired, and not having your nanny nap.

  • Interesting news of your friend DIBNLIB. Glad the travel arrangements got sorted out in the end. I hope Erica has a comfortable journey home, and that her remarkable positivity continues.
