HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I'm in Indianapolis taking care of 5 dogs. Talk to you all later.

Everybody have a good week. Love and hugs to all.

  • Rosy - you are quite correct about the dust and dead spiders lurking behind furniture!!! My piano hasn’t been pulled out since I last had my living room decorated. I dread to think what is behind it!!! Good idea not to go and look behind your bookcase!!
Hearher - glad you have had help getting ready for your Danish visitors.

I had a good hour or so in the garden this morning. I dismantled my hanging basket and potted up the geranium in it. I also planted up some new spider plants. I have decided that my 7 mature ones will have to take their chances outside this winter. I tried to give them away last year. Strangely, no one wanted them!!!

  • Lindy - your post appeared whilst I was writing. How nice to see the egrets. Beautiful colour of the sea too.

  • My OH became unwell Sunday evening, was sent to Hospital#1, tests revealed a tear in aorta, transferred to main city hospital. He died yesterday morning with Dau#1 holding his hand. Dau#2 came here later and we organized a few things. I am OK. Although sudden, I have been expecting his death ever since his Parkinsons diagnosis. He was not happy in the NH and was often confused. As a family historian, I see life cycling on and on.

  • I'm so sorry ..... I know life cycles on but it's still sad when it comes to an end.  Our best wishes to you and your family.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • I am very sorry AQ. Expected or not it is still very sad. I also send best thoughts and wishes to you and your family.

Thank you for letting us know.

  • AQ - what a sudden shock. I am sending condolences and hugs. Thank you for letting us know. Thinking of you.

  • AQ;  Oh so sorry.   It's been a long and difficult road for you this last year or so.   Wonderful that Daughter #1 was able to be with him and that Dau #2 has been to help.  You'll likely be preoccupied for a bit but do know we're all here - just wish we were closer and able to do more than offer sympathy and over-the-interrnet support.  Hugs and more hugs to you all.
