Hallo all. Seems like Central Indiana, including Diane's neighborhood, got hit by high winds, downed trees and power outages as Hurricane Helene traveled north (not a hurricane at that point but still very strrong winds). Do hope no damage to her little house in the trees..... I'm sure she'll be in touch when she can.
We are having a low key birthday celebration tomorrow for daughter and granddaughter whose birthdays are two weeks apart. Granddaughter was working on hers and will also be working on daughter's so we're combining both. Grandson will - hopefullly - be home and fast asleep: He'''s been gone from home fo 31 days, working 16-hours a day on various fires around the state. Spoke to him a few days ago and he was completely exhausted.
It's been a busy week and Monday will be busy but really hope thing will slow down after that!
Hope everyone has a good week and that various health concerns will be laid to rest. Take care everyone.
My friend in the assisted living place has a small electric wheelchair which is perfect for her getting around in the residence. However, we once ventured out with her in it to the cottage hospital just round the corner. It was not very stable even with the dropped curbs. She does come down and “drives” out into the car park to see me off. That is fine.

!!!!!!!!!! WOW!
AQ - How nice for you to be able to relax over your lunch with friends. Yes, they need lots of changes of clothes for your relative to allow for "some in the wash" unfortunately. Good Luck with your search for a new mobile phone- I went to a large retail shop with dozens on display and staff on hand for advice (Currys, for those in the UK).
OG - Notes on airfryers to follow! Trying to be quick just now as food prep needed for tonight.
Rusty - We saw Red squirrels in Lancashire at Formby several times but we rarely go there now. We've seen the signs saying that they are in the woods on Anglesey, but as we have an excitable dog racketing around with us on our walks, they all hide in the tallest trees!
Heather - I hope your daughter gets her results soon. A worrying time.
My OH is better - I can't say "much better" yet but he's definitely on the mend and has begun to eat although I'm watching that it's all bland. He had a better night last night so its done him good. He looked very grey in the face and was croaking which was not like him at all. More colour in his face today & he's been to the Allotment to check on things - only a few tomatoes left now and no green beans, sadly.
Rusty - I often see the signs for the Mountain Zoo but have never been. Lovely views of the coast!
Thought you all might like some more pictures to do with reading, but can't remember now which ones I already posted:

My friend's microwave, at the age of 40, died recently. You can't get anything to last these days ... :)
