I have missed all the regular updates from Joanna Dailey this year on the multiple nests in and around the Kielder Forest.
The last few years have been pretty successful with the number of new nests increasing every year.
Unfortunately this year has been an absolute disaster, showing it's not just Scotland that has been badly hit by the weather, amongst other factors.
I found this article released by Jo, it is very sad reading indeed.

Thanks Richard, yes Joanna hasn’t been posting on here this year. I’ve been reading her blogs on and off and they’ve had a terrible year, as you’ve detailed above. Such a shame.
I did follow Kielder all season Richard so please please forgive me but I couldn't possibly read anything twice over. I've been in the depths of misery over it all. What a sterling Staff member Joanna is to write it all and keep us all updated . Thank you Joanna so much for writing it all through so much heart ache..

I can't remember why Nest7 went off my radar early in the season - but here it was yesterday and today, with up to 3 seen at any one time.
