Aran & Elen
After a slightly dodgy start, when Elen went AWOL when she found that Aran hadn't arrived, and he therefore had a brief flirtation with Blue372 (of whom much more in the Llyn Brenig thread), this couple's second season together is turning out to be a great success. Elen has survived the attentions of an aggressive Tawny Owl and has produced 3 eggs, one more than last season, and Aran has continued to be the great provider we are accustomed to.

IMAGICAT
Thank you for doing so Scylla dear. I'm grateful. Precious juvies
A family member performing nighttime bathroom ritual?
I had to turn this upside down and back again to get the artistic effect - but one Magpie got rather squashed in its corner.
Persecution.

Pesky Magpies:
The Crows have had to take a back seat since the Magpies have been so invasive - but this one managed to fly off with a whole flounder !!! ... tho' it did look a bit dried out... the fish, I mean:
Elen brought tea and Aran brought supper - both really good fish:

11:30 - 6M7 & 6M8 - I don't know who made these two cower:
6M8 got a small fish but because of cam glitches we didn't see the delivery:
15:23 ~ Aran brought a small fish for 6M7 - 'twill take too long to find a good snap.
Here was 6M9 complaining, at least we've ID'd all 3 now.
20:14 - He got fish from somewhere!

Aran's brought fine fish at 7 and 8 this morning!

Whatever caused Elen(?) to fly in at 4 o'clock in the morning in horrid wind and rain... must remain a mystery! (As you know, the wind on Cam2 is horrendously loud - my over-successful noise reduction has removed evidence of how fierce it was, and the rain isn't showing up on this cam either - I assure you it was a wicked-looking and -sounding night!)
What a noisy bunch they are - only one juvie was hungry enough to come to the nest, and only one sibling seen, so a third one must have been away exploring:
All 3 juvies ID'd 100% in the early evening. Elen not seen (or noticed) since that 04:00 appearance on the perch, unless that wasn't her.
24 August
All 3 juvies ID'd 100% between 6 and 7 in the morning.
..
The Mackerel delivery was 2 minutes earlier. (I don't have Cam1 cos the system only provided TWO copies of Cam2, dang !!! )
How strange! If you think the caption on my snap of Elen's departure is "unbalanced", it's because on this page the hearts emoji isn't showing up - but up on YouTube it is!

Both cams went down at about 12:50.
