Aran & Elen
After a slightly dodgy start, when Elen went AWOL when she found that Aran hadn't arrived, and he therefore had a brief flirtation with Blue372 (of whom much more in the Llyn Brenig thread), this couple's second season together is turning out to be a great success. Elen has survived the attentions of an aggressive Tawny Owl and has produced 3 eggs, one more than last season, and Aran has continued to be the great provider we are accustomed to.

Lovely snaps, GLIDER
I ventured to Cam2 today (sorry, yesterday!) and saw that it was focused on the river instead of the nest and meant to go back and check that all was OK - but am only on about 10% power lately.
Heather has given us some wonderful scenes and creatures in past years.
Thanks Scylla, I enjoyed seeing our ospreys’ neighbours! Heather certainly does well here. At least we can still follow the ospreys on cam 1, but no clock!

I forgot to change the Cam2 URL so only have Cam1 for the last day or two.
Elen had a big scare overnight - I haven't edited this at all, so you can see how long she was flying around and on the perch before settling back on the eggs. Checking Chat, I think Heather decided it might have been a stick or sticks dislodged by the bats that scared Elen:

Small supper for Elen:
At bedtime Elen had lots of very active company:
It's been a peaceful night, with owl sounds but no intrusions yet.

I was a bit concerned that Aran wasn't seen last evening after 17:30, but he's turned up this morning as usual :)))
Phew !!

As explained on LG I'm not in full working order so am just trying to check nests for status.
Elen is on her eggs and Aran is standing beside her preening - lovely chorus of critters in the background, plus wind.
Another quick check, first time I've got the laptop out since last post.
Checked Chat, Elen was wiggling down on the eggs, someone said "so much drama on the nests this year, glad ours is rubbing along nicely". Enough said
Are things any better for you Scylla? Have you caught up with Manton Bay near disaster?
