Asha & Brodie
The partnership has matured this season, with Asha continuing her good female role (and she loves nest-building) and Brodie being more reliable, both fishing and incubating.
The pair have fought their way thru all kinds of nasty weather - snow, wind and rain - and intruders, including the dreaded KL5 Klive, have been a nuisance but not dangerous...
so far.

EDIT
********
Sadly, the month of May heralded irresistible aggression from BlueKL5 "Klive", who had ruined the end of last season for the 2 juvies.
Within the first 2 days Klive had driven Brodie from the area (tho Brodie did return a couple of times to dive-bomb Klive, to no effect) and destroyed the eggs. He commenced to woo Asha clumsily, selfishly and inappropriately, as can be seen from the following pages.
IMAGICAT
12 September
EArly afternoon, a super Buzzard flew onto Asha's perch - didn't stay long, wouldn't give us a full facial, wasn't vocal - plus the camperson had a spasm and nearly lost it out the picture entirely - but we'll be grateful that it visited, it's gorgeous:
Stunning. Thanks Scylla
12 September evening:
Mistle
And either a Coal or Great Tit, I couldn't see well enough.
I beg forgiveness for venting with tech - but when I add or enhance the sound, the software that joins the picture and sound compresses it, rendering a much smaller picture and lower resolution - so this is even worse quality than it should have been. I gotta study more software this off-season, just like I was supposed to have done last off-season
Also, you'd think these two were very rare birds from the length of the video and editing devoted to them - well, it just happened.
FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH
Not a soul so far, so here's a long view we were treated to this evening:
A truly lovely video of the Mistle Thrush, Scylla. Really super that it was vocal. And the little bird I deem a Coal Tit (since it had a wee white neck patch which Great Tits don't. Just happen to spot it in one shot)
15 September
Sunshine broke thru for a spell at 7 o'clock this morning:
! ! ! How did you do that ! What a wonderful effect. Sunshine breaking through indeed. So well done Scylla
Cirrus said:How did you do that !
I hate to topple myself off the pedestal you've put me on, CIRRUS, but must confess it's merely a gif made in Photoscape X (freely available from Microsoft Store):
Well, it's really lovely and you shouldn't shoot yourself down.
Early evening, the Mistle Thrush again - it was briefly joined by a Chaffie and there were a couple of ??? Coal Tits out of plain sight on the nest:
16 September
We got one short zoom on the PTZ for the sake of Chaffies, but it was too short-lived to catch the best of them:
Nest view:
Nothing snappable for the 17th.
