Three beautiful eggs were laid from mid-April, with the final one arriving almost 10 hours later than NC0’s usual 72 hour 'cycle'.
Both Laddie and NC0 have had to defend the nest from many 'passing through' intruders. Could Laddie’s defence of the reserve be the reason why there has been no sighting of him on the webcam since early lunchtime on the 28th? There were a few occasions where there was a high likelihood that he may have been in NC0’s sight since then though, her loud fish calls alerted us to that probable fact.
With NC0’s last meal being delivered on the 27th, we can only hope that Laddie arrives home not only fit and well, but also with a well-deserved fish for such an amazing female Osprey – her endeavours to keep the eggs protected, warm and dry during his absence, have been truly remarkable!
As I write, it has been just over 60 hours without Laddie at the nest and we now wait, in anticipation, for a positive start to this new month...
*UPDATED 4.5.23: Heartbroken to report, that there was very sadly no positive news forthcoming regarding our dear Laddie...

Gosh quite a drama.
Ash said:10:04 NC0 and 7C1 are both back
7C1 landed first. NC0 was short alarm chipping/calling on the cam post
That didn't work
She came down from the cam post and landed on her
NC0 made an attempt to displace 7C1, actually made contact too
As NC0 raised her wings, 7C1 flew off
She headed off to the right
NC0 remained on the nest until 10:08. She chipped just before to leaving

It remained ENS until the male landed for a quick visit at 11:04
He sorted out the messy nest
I wonder what he was thinking?
He left at 11:06
13:50 I can't find any more visits to the nest. One on the birch?

Yes Julie, it was havoc for a while!
13:54 Yes, it was an Osprey, possibly the male? He flew off to the left
Within moments, there was a landing on the cam post then, another joined it - NC0 was vocalising (I recognised her squeaky voice that she's had since eating her fish) as he approached. Movement and flapping heard - an attempted mating? There was a flight away
13:58 He came back with a stick. NC0, on the cam post, called
He picked up and re-positioned the long stick that had been laying towards, and across, the centre of the nest
He flew off at 14:04, NC0's calls were ringing out!
At present, 14:20, NC0 is still on the cam post, calling
BFN
15:15 No return visit from the male as yet. NC0 fish calling, rather loudly, on the cam post
16:30 It doesn't show up well on a screenshot, but there is torrential rain at the moment!
I'm unsure if NC0 is on the cam post. No visits to the nest since my last post
17:47Better weather now. No visits to the nest seen. I just heard a ruffle of feathers on the cam post
At 18:09, NC0 landed on the nest, down from the cam post
She was silent as she looked around
She lowered herself into a semi-mantle
Tracking something
The male arrived. Perhaps it was him NC0 was watching
It was only after he'd been on the nest for around 10 seconds, that NC0 began to vocalise
Her calls got louder
He flew off at 18:12
18:25 She was calling loudly at the front of the nest
18:33 Not sure if that is the male or a corvid on the birch
18:35 She was still there, as was the bird on the birch
Cont'd...
18:47 NC0 had changed her position back to the front. Continuing to fish call
At 18:50, NC0 stretched her left leg and wing
Still calling, she looked up to the cam post
And flew up there
