This is an improved (I hope) replica of the 2022 thread, which I'm doing now but... I hope that we will be able to have a sticky post eventually, in which case I will edit this and delete the whole mishmash and replace it with a link to the sticky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm starting this thread because the OP can be an easily-findable repository for information - eg, how to find current live streams - and it can be updated by me on behalf of myself or anyone else who instructs me to add or change something.
FIRST - A link to UK Osprey Information, the replacement for Pete Dee's wonderful website.
Quote - The credit for collating this information is due to the late Pete Dee and to Jeff K, who ably took on the mantle when Pete passed away.
Many, many thanks for this new and most useful of threads Scylla, you do work so hard for the benefit of us all!
The trouble has been that the Osprey Chat purpose of the thread got ignored by some, who started new threads instead of using this one. So I hope I can remove the ***Cam Links*** from the title sooner rather than later!
I see what you mean Scylla ... in much the same way as folk opened new threads regarding the recent upgrade instead of commenting on the dedicated thread! Personally I often referred back to the cam links as the Osprey season progressed and locations were a little confusing, a great idea of yours!
Thanks for grouping all of the cam links together Scylla, great piece of work.
Thanks Scylla. Such a good idea to put all this information on one thread. Will be most useful in the coming season.
Thank you for this thread, Scylla. Often little gems appear which could easily be missed!
Did any of you watch Tim Mackrill's wonderful Zoom talk last night? I found it so interesting, and recommend you sit down with a cuppa for about 1.5 hrs. It was scheduled for an hour, which wasn't enough, particularly as he answered so many questions too. It covered translocation and migration. The old chestnut of lack of info from RW was mentioned by a questioner, and Tim basically said 'watch this space later in the year'!!
Eeeek - how do I insert a basic link? (and pic?)
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
Thank you for this Sheila, I am bookmarking it to watch later
Hello
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the book 'If you build it, he will come' by Simon Curtin about the reintroduction of Osprey to the Belvoir Estate. It is so well written and really draws you into the story. Highly recommended! Hoping that a pair will take up residence this year.
Thank you for the heads up on Tim McKrills zoominar I will definitely take a look.
Yes, the Belvoir book arrived earlier this week and now Tim's book! Lots to read and I'll watch the Zoominar, thanks for the link!
