Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

Here was the family last year
I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

That is devastating for us, Alison - but I do sympathise - you've got important things to do outside of these forums

Oh dear. I shall miss you Alison. I suppose we must all do what we think best . I shall certainly watch the nests and wish all those who will post or share pics or , especially videos so much luck and love and best wishes . I shall look out for videos especially.
Really sad about this news Alison, just hope & pray that rspb do something to reverse this dreadful upgrade! Take great care

Can I also voice my sorrow that you won't post on here in future. I fully appreciate your angst, but seriously hope you will reconsider. Your input was always really appreciate, with your on-the-spot reporting and local insight. It was/is so valuable. But as I said I appreciate the reason. Hope to 'see' you on FB!

I am adding pics 'n vids to the above post so as not to have too many "pages" (if only!) before the true Osprey season gets going.
