Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

Here was the family last year
I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

What super providers 022 and CJ7 are. These youngsters are looking superb.
Thanks so much for the update Glider. Such a brilliant season at Poole. Hope that more nests are occupied next year.
Seems my buttons have sorted themselves and work now. So, thanks for the postings Glider. Very well done
You’re very welcome Peps and Cirrus. Just wanted a last few photos of all of the family before they begin their migrations. Yes Peps, I think there’s a good chance other nests will be used next year as more birds show interest.
Many thanks for all the updates and great pics Glider, very much appreciated

No problem Wendy.
This is good news and looks quite promising for next year.
Fingers crossed she returns and can attract a male
That’s great to see Richard, thanks. We’ll be crossing everything for her next year.
Exciting news Richard. Thanks for posting the the captures and heads up by Staff.
Just checking the ages of the youngsters. From my calculations as of today:-5R0 is 91 days
5R2 is 90 days
5R1 is 87 days
5H6 is 83 days.
They’ve all been seen on the nest today. CJ7 hasn’t been seen today. Not sure if she was around yesterday either.
022 has done well fishing in the very windy weather here today.
10.56 He brought a fish to 5R0 who had been on the nest most of the morning waiting.
5R1 arriving too late.5R0 still carrying his fish, dive bombed 5R1 on the nest.
13.51 5R2 got the next fish. Seemingly he didn’t get any yesterday. 5H6 was on the nest with 5R2.
5R2 took off with the live fish in his beak. Hope he holds tight.
