Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

Thank you, RICHARD! Sudden, wasn't it?!
(I only did 2 our of 4 - must do better nest time.)

5H6, aka Bob 4, took his first proper flights today (leaving the camera pole at 15.29 on the aerial cam). So now all four have fledged successfully. What an amazing season so far. Fingers crossed they all now make it to migration.
Well done to all 4 fully fledged youngsters and to CJ7 and 022 for being such good parents. This has been an exemplary nest and I’m crossing my fingers with you Alison that the rest of the season continues to go well.
A fabulous outcome for CJ7 & 022 this season that all four youngsters progress well!
