Well, it's now 2024 and hopefully another successful year for the Poole Harbour Ospreys.
The last couple of years have seen the successful establishment of a nest and raising of young.
Translocated females From the harbour have set up successful nests in Wales also raising young.
Hopefully this year may see the establishment of a second nest in the Harbour area.

Here was the family last year
I hope Alison Copland won't mind but here is a link to a video she has made of the 2023 season. It is a must watch for followers of Ospreys, especially the Poole harbour family

Can certainly empathise Scylla as still watching three Peregrine chicks being raised at Derby, their little faces as they lunge for food which may or may not come!

Just look at the difference between No1 on the right and No4 on the left.
No 1 is as wide as No 4 is long
Good observation Richard! The size difference is immense.
A couple of posts from Poole on X earlier today

Oh dear. Thank you Richard

05 June evening
#4 did good in the end, and #3 is also doing well... so far!
IMAGICAT
3 separate feeds this morning, all roughly 2 hours apart and No4 getting fed at all of them, either in a group or individually.
Welcome news Richard, thanks!
Another feed @1600, and No4's crop looks extremely full.
That’s super to see #4 doing so well and the other 3 chicks of course! Thanks Richard.
