Definitely a retrograde step. The necessity to scroll through all older posts to get to the latest ones is a real pain.
you can view latest posts by highligting Newest which is in centre (oldest, Likes, Newest) which is under the REPLY box of the original post
Ahhh. Thanks Billy. So now I have 3 buttons to try and find and press. I will drop my case with a loud bang on the floor instead of resting it.
Doesn't work in my Firefox browser I'm afraid. From my point of view (literally!) the changes made, presumably by the RSPB boffins, have made no discernible improvement but have wrecked, what until now was a perfectly readable, understandable, and time progressing thread of vital information through the Osprey season. Why make changes just for the sake of it? Put it back as it was please.
Wot ! is that an IQ test, sigh . I don't have anything under the reply button
I'm on laptop so not sure about other gadgets but have tried to do screen shot
Hope this helps

I think the consensus from posters is ‘if it ain’t broke, then don’t try and fix it!’ Particularly if your fix is designed for those with a PhD in computer science.
Absolutely! I have enjoyed many years of experience in programming and web development but have always understood the ESSENTIAL part of the process that SHOULD be devoted to testing both for usability and for browser and device compatability. I'm not convinced that much of that has been happening at the RSPB unfortunately!
