This thread is for Osprey nests that don't warrant a thread of their own, and for other raptor nests of interest, in an effort to keep Osprey threads to a minimum for the sake of other Community members.

Hancock Forum for very close coverage of the nest.
From KORKY's introductory post for the 23-24 SWFL season:
"This is the first season with M15 & new mate F23. F23 was first documented in the area Summer 2023 before officially bonding with M in October 2023. The original adult bald eagle pair, known as Ozzie and Harriet, had been coming to this nest since 2006. After Ozzie’s passing in the early fall of 2015, Harriet & M15 bonded in late fall of 2015. After eighth seasons as a mated pair, Harriet never returned to the nest in Feb. 2023 and M successfully raised their young E21 & E22 to fledge.' F23 has just laid her first egg dickpritchettrealestate.com/.../

F23 has 2 eggs and one appears to be about to hatch!... So I'm starting the new thread a couple of days early. I don't know who is currently incubating.

Thanks Glider.
Apparently Blue 500 was seen at the Alyth nest last season!

I got a tiny bit in the morning and then the whole of 14:00 to 20:00 - it looked like an unremarkable day, as it should be - no chance of seeing any eggs.
Then I got nearly 500 files collected up while the downloader tried and failed to pick up the stream. It's not behaving like other streams I've got on the same system.

Scylla, take a look at their Fb page (worth scrolling down). Mrs O is back but on nest 2 with FK0 at the moment (there has been a battle for this nest between her and the resident female Camilla). Mrs O is unaware that her mate, PW3 has returned and has visited nest 1.

Thank you, Sandra. It seems that I'm recording the only nest they're live-streaming and it's not being visited - all these reports of conflicting Ospreys are on another nest. I thought that snap on here with the 3 Ospreys was a strange angle on the nest. No wonder I'm crestfallen
Oh bless you! I'm pretty sure I read earlier in the season that the team had set up a back up nest for Mrs O/PW3 to use close by, the original tree/nest (with webcam) was deemed to possibly be unsafe (it's quite old)

I think they're still bothered by intruders - here was a very long headless whopper brought by KM18 this morning, not accepted by KX7 (tho he did give her a bite), she waited till it came back half the size but still flapping!
Afternoon - vile weather still, he feeds her some fish before she takes it away, on her return they have a long "is there an intruder around?" episode, they eentually change over and she settles.

Oooh, what a beauty!
