News from other Nests - 2024

Typical!  I just stopped the Kielder7 download so's to run thru the footage, then checked the live stream in case anything special transpired while that footage was processing - and something did so I had to record it from rollback - quicker than going thru the day's hours on the off-chance.

    Then I see I haven't done yesterday's download :(((

    20 April

A passing raptor caused concern - please ID it and I'm not even certain it was KX7 and not her hubby on the nest.

    21 April

Super headless breakfish this morning but it got taken away:

  • Sorry Scylla, I’m not that good at other raptors’ ID. At least it wasn’t interested in the nest.

  • Managed to stop on an image which looked possibly like a Buzzard!  Been trying to get a pic but it's so fast!

    Managed this ...

  • Good effort Wendy. Yes, it could be a buzzard. Thumbsup It does have wide wings and what looks like brown and white colouring.

This nest is very well endowed with soft stuff - it's been piled up blocking our view but they kindly shifted most of it away... altho I'm not quite up-to-date yet...

The above snaps just slid in without being reduced in size, so I'm posting now to see what happens to them - it would be great if we don't have to stretch any more.

    25 April evening

Spanish Cliff Ospreys appear to have only one egg still!  (Grabbed from rollback.)  Hopefully, after the turmoiled start to their season, they'll be raising a spoilt little brat soon Laughing

  • Edit ... found it and see on chat 2 huevos ... eggs!

They must have lost one!  Didn't get a pic, info was on chat!
