This broadcast on Channel 5, mainly about Capercaillie up in Scotland. And a little about Puffins as well. as Red Squirrel’s. Luckily the area in which I live in North East England in the county of Northumberland still has a number of places you can see Red Squirrels. I’ve managed to see Red Squirrels every year. Sadly the last Red Squirrel Colony  died out in the county of Tyne and Wear about 5 years ago from Squirrel Pox,  caught from Grey Squirrels who are unaffected by Squirrel Pox, but who are carriers of that disease and have to be culled humanely to protect the native Red Squirrels. Red Squirrels can still be found in some areas in Cumbria as well as isolated pockets of Red Squirrels in Lancashire and also Yorkshire and a few places further south in England as well as in Wales!
