Weekly Chat, Sunday December 19, 2010

Hallo all. Hasn't stopped raining here all day - two more days of it - BUT the weather in the UK has been making headlines on the radio and telly!  Will catch up with chat later.

  • First and foremost,   MARGOBIRD - just read your post about your sister.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and I will say a prayer tonight when I am church for our Midnight Communion Service.  Do hope that she and all the family will come through the ordeal and that they can treat the tumour reasonably well.  Try and stay positive.

Thanks to Alan for pic of the raccoons (can't spell it) and for the Christmas Card from EJ - brilliant.

Thanks to you all for posting your CCd's.

Dianne - great that you have taught yourself to do the renovations, good luck with the rest of them.

AQ - no doubt your Christmas Day has already started -   HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Finished off getting the preparations done for tomorrow -   off to Church later for our Midnight Communion Service - I always find it a great experience coming out of church on Christmas morning and being able to wish everyone a Happy Christmas.

Back next week folks - enjoy your Christmas as best you can.

  • Heather – good to see you here again.  I hope you will be having a great Christmas with as many as possible of your family able to get together.

  • 10.45 am Christmas morn. Everything (I hope) is peeled, whipped, whatever. Just now a brief lull before the storm!! Santa delivering in Iceland just a moment ago. Only going to be 32 C max today. Perth WA expecting 38 C and humid (yikes), while Queensland has a cyclone & winds & floods. And the northerners are feeezing. Thanks for C-mas morn greetings.

Margo - My thoughts & prayers are with you and I am sure you will cope at this sad time.

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Margo   Sorry to read your sad news. I know how this feels as my sister was diagnosed with glioblastoma back in January 2001.

  • Happy Christmas to all on this site - may you all get the gifts you hope for!!

I hope now to be able to attach a view of Ben Nevis taken from my Conservatory about 2 weeks ago, it has even more snow covering just now.

  • Just emptied dishwasher, put cleaned pots and pans away, sorted out bedding/pillows for everyone and about to fall into bed after nice day. Granddaughter arrived safely; grandson showed up with very nice gifts and is staying the night (a surprise since he always seems to have other places to go); Oro here too - granddaughter and I just took him for a nice walk.  I can hear daughter and granddaughter laughing in another room; grandson is playing on OH's computer, OH and I creeping off to bed.  Tomorrow will be seriously lazy, with family leaving for daughter's house after lunch.

Thanks for spectacular photos; Happy Christmas!

  • Happy Christmas, Everyone!  Just popped in to see who's  'here'  before I start on the busy time that is Christmas Day when you serve the dinner for lunch!

Glad to hear that you anticipate a lazy time, Annette, and that your family have arrived.  Hope all has gone well at AQ's (& Wattle's) in advance of ourselves. Glad to hear that OG's son arrived safely last night. Thanks for your wonderful pics, everyone, loved the Christmas Chaffinch!!

Sorry to hear you've had the flu, Alicat - do try to eat something now, and get yourself back to fighting weight again.

Hope that you All have a Good Day, with everything you wish for, and I'll 'see you' again tomorrow!
