Thanks, Clare. I'm also on several other kinds of pills which are free, thank goodness!! I said to my OH that even if it's just in my mind that I seem to feel better, it's worth it. Never mind if it's psychological!

I see I came out twice this morning..... Ah well, a double dose of me! Just been to nearby motorway services which has an M&S shop, to stock up on pies and pastas for our trip and for the freezer. Still drizzly here, but only four miles away, it's dry and sunny and folks are wearing their shorts and eating ice cream.

My OH has had his six monthly blood test to keep a check on his prostate -- all is well. It's about ten years since he had his nasty brush with cancer, so we try not to think about it. The NHS were brilliant at the time, and he was treated at The Christie which has now put out new Hubs for treatment around the northwest of England, to save people on travel and to allow the main hospital to treat more people a year, itself. There has been a lot of criticism of the NHS recently and I see that it's very much a lottery as to where you live In the country. Which isn't right at all.

Each of us has good and bad things to say about the NHS.  Limpy is now addicted to prescription morphine - and yet his Parkinson's was diagnosed promptly and he is doing well in his hydrotherapy sessions.  Each of us can generally get a GP appointment promptly and I've had some very useful help dealing with the menopause - but I'll never forget that when it came to giving birth I was lied to, in order to persuade me to have the birth induced.  I still resent that, more than 23 years later.

Afternoon all from Silverstone Northamptonshire. I am now on my second week of nanny duty. Last week I was in London with sons kids. I will be back in Suffolk on Saturday.
It seems like I've been away for ages.
DIANE I do hope you get things sorted and can start to feel more relaxed.
Everyone else seems to have things happening or trips planned so all have a good time and enjoy what's left of the summer or winter depending on location.

When I went out to Sudbury on Saturday, the excellent cafe we went to had no mirrors in the toilets.  It just had a message on the wall in each toilet which simply said 'YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL'

OH and I are helping at the opening of a new centre for children and young adults with special needs on Friday. It has been 10 years of fund raising and progress for those involved since the start (not us). It looks as though it is going to be very wet on Friday so I will have to dig out my umbrella. Cross fingers the forecast is wrong.
