Have a good week, all!

I'd rather it was you than a few others I could name (nobody on the Chat!).
Lindybird said:My OH has had his six monthly blood test to keep a check on his prostate -- all is well. It's about ten years since he had his nasty brush with cancer, so we try not to think about it. The NHS were brilliant at the time, and he was treated at The Christie which has now put out new Hubs for treatment around the northwest of England, to save people on travel and to allow the main hospital to treat more people a year, itself. There has been a lot of criticism of the NHS recently and I see that it's very much a lottery as to where you live In the country. Which isn't right at all.
Each of us has good and bad things to say about the NHS. Limpy is now addicted to prescription morphine - and yet his Parkinson's was diagnosed promptly and he is doing well in his hydrotherapy sessions. Each of us can generally get a GP appointment promptly and I've had some very useful help dealing with the menopause - but I'll never forget that when it came to giving birth I was lied to, in order to persuade me to have the birth induced. I still resent that, more than 23 years later.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

When I went out to Sudbury on Saturday, the excellent cafe we went to had no mirrors in the toilets. It just had a message on the wall in each toilet which simply said 'YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL'
