Our 3 thriving chicks almost adult sized with Harry and Flora. As of 01/07/23 the chicks are 42, 40 and 38 days old.

Harry brings another fish. #3 is on the nest alone.

#1 is so hungry and dives in to steal the fish
#3 has a firm hold but so does #1, they struggle, both locked onto the fish
#3 at the front tried so hard to hold on but #1 was just too strong#1 finally gets the fish
and the birds separate. #3 looks down and the fish has gone. That was a 10 minute struggle.
My heart goes out to them both. Just so hungry, the amount of fish coming to the nest has reduced greatly. #3 had less than 15 minutes of eating.
#2 returns
#1 flies off with the fish
No more fish tonight and no one sleeping on the nest.
Let’s hope for no intruders and at least one fish each tomorrow It would be great if Flora was still around and dropped a fish or two off.
Thursday 27 July
News this morning is that HK0 is back! She delivered a fish at 06.21
Harry delivered a tiny one earlier at 05.35

I think it was #2 who got the fish. She seems to have made a claim on the nest, chasing others away when they want to land.
I believe #2 got the first fish as well (although it may have been #3, I would’ve hoped for that) It’s not been a good day for identifying the ospreys due to the rain. #1 got the second fish.
There doesn’t seem to have been another fish delivered after this one. I had such high hopes for a good day with 3 early fish being delivered but strangely no more afterwards.
Friday 28 July
10.56 Fish delivery from Flora. #2 on the nest alone receives it.
#1 arrives
Followed by #3
#2 is driving #3 off the nest every chance she gets.
#2 jumps on #3’s back
and drives him off
#3 swoops in to dive bomb #2
They have an aerial chase
It’s got to this as there are just not enough fish being brought to the nest.
#3 must be running on empty and now using precious energy to defend himself.

#2 is still eating when another fish arrives from Flora this time at 19.53
#2 got involved and started pecking at Flora and the other juvenile I think it was #3 who got his first fish of the day
Saturday 29 July
First fish of the day brought in by Harry at 07.14
#1 gets to it first
Not too much drama for a change and Harry’s legs are intact!#1 mantling to the right of the nest#1 eats on the nest for a bit
then decides to eat elsewhere. 07.36
