Egg No. 2 laid 23 April - Hatched 29 May (36 days)
Egg No. 3 laid 26 April - Hatched 1 June (37 days) Sadly, this little chick died on 3rd June. It coincided with LJ2 having a leg injury and unable to fish at the time. I don’t know if this was the sole reason, part of the reason or something else. RIP little one
The family of 5 for a couple of days. Bob 3, RIP, in between #1 and #2

The poor weather from yesterday continues
LJ2 left the perch at 04.42 and arrived at the nest with half a fish at 05.08.
LM6 wasn’t in a hurry to get up. (I know that feeling in the mornings!) She collected the fish at 05.17 and gave the chicks a feed.
The fish was finished off at 05.35, LM6 then tidied up some scraps and cleaned her beak on a stick before leaving for a comfort break. At the moment, I think the images are more like an Impressionist painting than a photo!!
Good morning chicks
After LJ2 left the nest around 05.18, he flew to the preening perch and cleaned his beak straightaway.
We get a closer look at his handsomeness! Some 20 minutes or so later, LM6 joins him after finishing off the fish.
LM6 leaves around 05.56 to return to the nest.
07.34 LM6 returns from a break and notices a fish end on the nest.
She collects it and the chicks get a feed.
08.58 visit from LJ2 (left)
11.35 Brighter but still very windy.
12.17 just a couple of rain blobs left on the cam lens. Hello sun! ️
14.14 LM6 brings in fresh bedding.
18.00 LJ2 arrives with a good sized headless fish.
The feed was on and off for about an hour when LM6 walked away. The chicks were settled down together.
