Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

I don't think I've heard Laddie squeal like that before, he sounded so distressed..
PF4 swallowed the fish tail at 8:18
PF5 did not come to the nest to challenge her for the fish

It's been ENS (as far as I can tell) since PF4 called and then flew off at 8:28

Me too! Commenters on Fb have asked Lowes if they have seen any fish being delivered to PF5 on his 'patch' - no reply as yet.
Yesterday evening's 'lost' fish was a whole, tiny one. PF4 had been fish calling for around an hour and 20 minutes before that delivery. Laddie appeared to be fully cropped so just hope that PF5 received something from a fish that he had eaten from.
9:44 Loud calls got closer to the nest then a landing on the cam post. PF4 then onto the nest - fish calling!
PF4 flew off from the nest perch at 11:42
She headed right, out of cam view
A crow was digging around on the nest before the cam zoomed over to the birch briefly at 11:57, I assume this was PF4 on NC0's diving branch but, would she allow a crow on 'her' nest?
The cam panned back to the nest
12:03 Ahh, how sweet, basking in the sun! Unsure if PF4 was on the birch here
LotL Fb
20:27 The cam has been zoomed in on the birch for the past 12 minutes. I assume this is PF4 as she headed off over there from the nest, but flew around the corner, at 20:07
Scrolling back, she made a fantastic dive at 20:20ish
She carried on flying right
Then turned, out of view, to return to the birch
What a treat!
Another dive at 20:44ish (unsure if there were others in between this one and the first one)
Splash!
She headed back to the nest perch. Her calls could be heard there before the cam panned back to the nest
