Laddie had a record breaking fish day on the 15th June, when he brought ELEVEN of them to the nest for NC0 and the chicks to dine on - amazing!
As the two chicks grew, it was clearly obvious - with the difference in size - that #1 was a female and #2 a male, this being confirmed at their ringing on the 22nd June.
NC0 began fishing for the first time this season on the 30th June, with TWO successful catches in one day. Hopefully, both she and Laddie will continue to bring plenty of fish for their growing youngsters to enjoy in a now, harmonious manner.

A successful dive by NC0 from the birch at 21:31
It was a tiny fish (in her left talons here)
PF5 was fish calling and looked towards NC0's talons
He got up and excitedly headed to NC0 to take the fish
PF4 showed an interest in what PF5 was doing
I think PF5 had trouble taking the fish from NC0's talons and when it was finally released, PF4 snatched it
The tiddler dropped onto the nest
PF4 retrieved it
NC0 left the nest as PF4 was tackling the fish, biting into the tail end initially. Dear PF5 was calling for fish
She landed on the birch
PF4 tucking in, she did finish the fish
22:26 NC0 is still on the birch. PF5 lying down, he hasn't eaten today
The two fish from NC0 and the one from Laddie have been tiny!
NC0 back to the nest perch at 22:31
22:34 PF5 fish begging
Where is Laddie?
Morning All, NC0 brought a small fish to the nest at 6:32 - PF4 claimed it
Tug-o-fish
NC0 went back to the birch as PF4 tucked in
PF5 waited and managed steal a chunk of fish from PF4's beak. NC0 had left the birch
PF4 with the remainder of the fish
PF4 finished the fish.
7:18 PF5 calling to NC0 who is on the birch
7:22 NC0 returned to the nest perch, no fish. She was very wet
She wasn't there long before heading off again
7:28 NC0 on the birch
Must be off. Fingers crossed for more fish to be delivered. BFN
