I start this thread with a heavy heart, as Brodie hasn't been seen at all on Friday 30th June. The last fish delivered to the nest was at 21.11 on 28 June, over 48 hours ago. Brodie was last sighted at 09.10 hours on 29 June, over 36 hours ago.
Chick 1 hatched 'early morning' on the 4 June and chick 2 overnight on 6 June. One egg didn't hatch (maybe number 1?). There were lots of intruders during the month of June, including KL5, and last year's male Axel on the weekend of 17/18th. Brodie has disappeared before for a couple of days, and no fish were delivered over the first weekend after hatching on 10/11th June so maybe we should keep the faith and cross all eyes, toes and fingers that Brodie will come good, recover from whatever keeps him away from his nest and chicks, and deliver a stonking fish first thing on 1 July.

Morning Trevor. A whole brown trout. When I turned on one chick was pulling a long piece of what I assume was digestive tract out. Not a pretty sight over my coffee, LOL.
Morning Korky too! You snuck in while I was posting!
Edit sad to see Harry/4 still holding back until it's safe to take food from Asha. Will it ever change before fledging, or indeed migration.

09.20 Sid/5 is still eating, with Harry/4 hidden behind Asha. Will there be any left for Harry?
09.21 no sooner said than Sid moved away and Asha automatically fed the nearest beak - Harry!
Thank you Sheila, with PC problems I missed the ringing and so on but .......... really ........who chooses these names !!!!!!!!! Rhetorical question
I suggest you read back, Cirrus! It's very tongue in cheek. The RSPB has made the unusual decision of not naming the chicks.
It started here, enjoy!!
By 09.35 a very wet Asha was calling for a second fish
I checked back on PTZ and Brodie was on the bowed tree with the bare topped branches.
10.21 She flew to the dead tree
10.33 she flew to the cam post, landing with a plonk and a shake of the screen
10.49 she started to call and dropped to the nest and called louder
10.50 FISH #2 despite the rain, well done Brodie. The PTZ was still on the empty bowed bare topped branched tree, so missed the delivery from that cam, and Asha was in the way to get any reasonable pic.
10.56 standing with her back to us she had been feeding #1/Sid. He turned away and the fish could be seen lying between her legs. Another brown trout of reasonable size. #2/Harry gets fed
11.09 a change in chicks. Harry stops feeding and Sid takes over
11.17 back to Harry. Turn and turn about with no hassle. It's stopped raining
11.19 both have given up and Asha feeds herself
11.44 Asha appeared very distracted by something.
Feed over, bits found and eaten
12.16 She has a flyabout and lands on the perch
PTZ is still zoomed in on the nest.
12.39 another flyabout and returns with a stick
After a lot of short flights landing on the nest perch or back to the nest, she flew off dropping to the right. 13.49
14.46 she is still away. Ha ha!!! She is on the perch above the nest camera!! Sneaky!! PTZ
So just two fish so far today.
My domestic distraction is on-going. I will add, if I have time.
