I start this thread with a heavy heart, as Brodie hasn't been seen at all on Friday 30th June. The last fish delivered to the nest was at 21.11 on 28 June, over 48 hours ago. Brodie was last sighted at 09.10 hours on 29 June, over 36 hours ago.
Chick 1 hatched 'early morning' on the 4 June and chick 2 overnight on 6 June. One egg didn't hatch (maybe number 1?). There were lots of intruders during the month of June, including KL5, and last year's male Axel on the weekend of 17/18th. Brodie has disappeared before for a couple of days, and no fish were delivered over the first weekend after hatching on 10/11th June so maybe we should keep the faith and cross all eyes, toes and fingers that Brodie will come good, recover from whatever keeps him away from his nest and chicks, and deliver a stonking fish first thing on 1 July.

I tried to get different views of the fish but some cam-work was not helpful, lighting and angles also probs.
This is the only helpful one, tho it's fuzzy - cos it shows it's not that skinny:

BTW, SHEILA - I'm sure you're right about the Glaslyn sound, which I've only just remembered to check and it's still been going on this morning - but I can't find that I've had a tab open for it, it's going to remain a mystery

I'm off, have been worn out by my tech and Glaslyn and LotL, hope to see more fish reports later
It' was raining earlier. Chicks were hunkered down, and Asha was, I think, atop the dead tree near PTZ with the old nest behind them
It has since stopped raining, and Asha is now on the campost - it's windy which won't make fishing easy

Fish delivery 12.52, not huge but a meal.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Thank you Trevor
12.41 Asha dropped from camperch to the nest - Sid bit her wing - to defend against an intruder
Intruder flew over the nest, and Asha took off after it - presumably a female
12.50 Asha returned to the nest and continued to defend
12.51.52 Brodie landed with a fish - Intruder must have followed him in with his fish
Good to see them working together, mantling and calling.
12.55 Brodie flew off
It wasn't until 12.58 Asha felt confident enough to feed the chicks. She kept looking around before she dropped off the rim, although she had already claimed the fish with one talon.
