I start this thread with a heavy heart, as Brodie hasn't been seen at all on Friday 30th June. The last fish delivered to the nest was at 21.11 on 28 June, over 48 hours ago. Brodie was last sighted at 09.10 hours on 29 June, over 36 hours ago.
Chick 1 hatched 'early morning' on the 4 June and chick 2 overnight on 6 June. One egg didn't hatch (maybe number 1?). There were lots of intruders during the month of June, including KL5, and last year's male Axel on the weekend of 17/18th. Brodie has disappeared before for a couple of days, and no fish were delivered over the first weekend after hatching on 10/11th June so maybe we should keep the faith and cross all eyes, toes and fingers that Brodie will come good, recover from whatever keeps him away from his nest and chicks, and deliver a stonking fish first thing on 1 July.

Changed mind, it's would be too long. I'll just say that #2 held back (or was held back) for a long time, then got quite a few bites until #1 muscled back in. At one stage I thought #2 wasn't well, but I think he was just manoeuvring very very slowly into a better position. Anyway, #1 got lots and #2 not so much.
I'm packing up, g'night
I think #2 actually got quite a decent meal, Scylla. As ever it hung back, biding its time, and then enjoyed a hearty feed. Trevor, I didn't see the left side of the nest collapse, but I did see several loosely placed vertical sticks slip down the outer edge of the nest. Thy had been 'placed' rather than 'woven' into the fabric of the nest. Asha calls out occasionally. The 'get another fish' type of call. His nibs is sitting on a branch of the tree below the nest, ignoring her! (PTZ). 09.43 Asha had an exercise/comfort, and returned at 09.56.

What !!!! OMG
Nice fish at 12.31
Both got some

Earlier before he went fishing, and Asha was calling intermittently, I checked PTZ - and found Brodie sitting as bold as brass on the tree behind the nest. She was looking down on him! At 10.29 they were both looking skyward, watching something, but didn't call and didn't chase.
Brodie left at 10.51, dropping down behind his tree and away to the right. Asha may have been watching him disappear in the air.
While waiting for the 12.31 fish #2 was looking grown up!
It looked as though the fish was a whole fish. #2 turned looked over its shoulder and took a couple of bites. #1 wasn't interested initially, so #2 had a good feed.
A quick scan suggests not much has happened since.
