HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a week of joyful, serene summer days.
I posted a couple of replies at the end of last week's thread. I read with interest all of your news throughout the week, and I apologize for not replying to everyone. I've been ill this week, and I haven't accomplished much of anything. Sorry, folks, for this negative start to the thread. I usually try to write a positive post.
Have a good week, all.
Well, the air quality just reached 232 in my little town, according to AccuWeather. We are Code Purple. That means the air is very unhealthy to dangerous. The air will cause negative effects for the general public, not only the vulnerable. I don't have air conditioning, so I'm feeling it today. Unfortunately, I have to walk to a dentist appointment tomorrow, when the temperature will be 90F (32.2C), which will make the air worse.
Bjane: I don't remember having to deal with this before either. Take good care of yourself.
LINDY: I agree that you may want to see a doctor. Sending you healing.

Good morning, all. It feels like a lifetime since I last posted - it hasn't been the easiest of years and Limpy has been struggling. However we have just enjoyed another holiday on the beautiful isle of Mull and I thought you might like to see a thread I've just posted. Click on this pair of young birds to see the rest:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Unknown said:Not sure I could manage a Tern Colony – they look so vicious, especially when they have young ones!
Not vicious - just very, very protective. Who could blame them, with our species around?
