LM6 LJ2
So far so good! The first 2 chicks are doing well, the 3rd just hatched this morning.
15.40 LM6 picks up the leftover fish from the earlier feed.
The chicks slowly join her.
They’re not too hungry really judging by the size of their crops!
LM6 perseveres and keeps feeding.
Around 16.00 LM6 lets go of the fish. She cleans her beak on some sticks.
Just look at the size of the chicks’ crops!
16.29 LJ2 arrives with the tail end of a fish.
He starts to eat it on the nest.
He pulls up the straggly skin with tail attached and finishes the fish.
16.45 All peaceful on the nest.
The chicks are 24 days and 22 days old today.
26.6.23
20:48 A pause mid-feed - are those chicks lazy or what? lol
All appears to be going well here!
Yep, a week certainly is a long time in the life of an Osplet. Happy hols Glider .
Thursday 29 June
Hi everyone, I’m back! Had a fantastic time thanks. Today the chicks are 34 and 32 days old.
Good to see the chicks doing well, thanks Sandra. They have grown and matured so much!
This morning they were looking towards the camera, just look at those beautiful eyes.
07.48 LJ2 brought in a large fish for breakfast
The chicks and LM6 fed well
One chick withdrew after it had had enough. Standing upright now!
LM6 left the nest after she was satisfied. 08.19 LJ2 flew in for his share.
And left with it.
