Asha is the proud parent of 3 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM - now called Brodie - as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha. Brodie had a lot of trouble fending off intruders which has made him a bit flaky in the fish catching and delivery department. Poor old Asha didn't eat for over 2 days last week. The main intruder was KL5, who seems to have stopped hanging around so much now, which is good as we approach hatch date and the need for fish will ramp up.
A scylla-super-snap of the happy parents-to-be
Also, courtesy of scylla, here are the laying dates;
25 April - egg 1
28 April - egg 2
01 May - egg 3
And, as if to groan at the limericks, Asha has begun to yell for fish in between a preen or two. After those two fish, she is not feeling as strident, lol. Kids are conked out.

Well I'm having the most awful, awful time here, I think this laptop is dying... and who could blame it?

So I took advantage of the permission granted and had a jolly good groan - with a smile all over my face - terrific, CANUCK, and then CC's was a giggly bonus. Just the tonic I needed.
I cannot scroll thru footage, I have to skip, and even then it's very show. Therefore the cam gods smiled on me when I landed on one particular visitor, but I didn't find the fish tail
I'll post a snap of the Asha and her visitor later but don't want to spoil the little surprise. May not do any more vids.

But you nearly were! By mee-hee
I think that's too high a standard to fit with the limericks, CATLADY, it demands wide-eyed appreciation rather than giggles.
Time to put some food together here.
What a wonderful vid, Scylla, and even bigger visitors. How totally ap that a Mistle Thrush should visit Mistle!! 21.59 Asha was watching something flying over the nest, but didn't start calling. She was wary. 22.01 Brodie landed, intruder calling and flapping, rather than mantling. 22.02 Brodie set off with intent By 22.14 the mist was rising below the nest, and quite atmospheric
