Asha is the proud parent of 3 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM - now called Brodie - as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha. Brodie had a lot of trouble fending off intruders which has made him a bit flaky in the fish catching and delivery department. Poor old Asha didn't eat for over 2 days last week. The main intruder was KL5, who seems to have stopped hanging around so much now, which is good as we approach hatch date and the need for fish will ramp up.
A scylla-super-snap of the happy parents-to-be
Also, courtesy of scylla, here are the laying dates;
25 April - egg 1
28 April - egg 2
01 May - egg 3
10 June recap - I can't find a good place to slot it in so here it is out of order.
Scuse any errors/anomalies.
Editing in a couple of snaps.
I loved his semi-open wings as he prepared to mount Asha - or try to:

11 June
As reported by CANUCK and me, KL5 intruded early but I haven't seen him since, maybe he's gone fishing for himself. Asha has been trying to feed the chicks - in the footage I've checked #2 was more prominent, so I hope that #1 hasn't been hurt in any of the scuffles between Asha and KL5. It's not that #1 appears injured, just that it's unual for it to be so unforthcoming.
Around 07:00 it started raining heavily.
Asha found some fish skin buried- as remarded befor, what a gal
Currently Asha is dry, standing preening.

Asha just flew off alarm calling.
Listening back, I think there was shooting going on "out there". The cam focused on a deadish tree with no sign of life on it. and chicks were tweeting while she was away.
Asha has been food soliciting for nearly ten minutes of so. Must have been able to see either Brodie or KL5, and I didn't think to check the PTZ until 13.32.
It looks like a large brown trout.
Will he bring part of it to Asha, at last, or eat it all.
I am now VERY worried about Brodie.
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018 https://www.imagicat.com/
He eats to the tail end, which just disappears down his gullet, before discarding the fin tail. He has no intention of sharing it at all with Asha and the chicks.
He remains on the branch, looking very pleased with himself, while Asha continues to call
13.46 KL5 flew off from his perch - it's the tree to the left and beyond the old nest supports that I called the arched tree.
Whew, that took a long time to load!
He must has flown. Asha is now quiet
I was hoping that KL5 would provide, whilst knowing it was most unlikely.
This is what I was doing while not getting around to snapping KL5, who wasn't quite in focus anyway:
Asha was air-feeding both chicks in turn
It took absolutely ages to get the text in place, I had to forego perfection in the end, knowing what a forgiving lot you are

So am I !!! :(((
Asha has left the nest five, six, possibly seven times, each time for a wee bit longer - up to four or five minutes. She responds to gaping osplets and feeds then...nothing. He has just left again 15.20.18 Is she building up to going fishing?

What's the quickest fish-fetch we've seen?
BTW, I expect you're all (except Canuck) wondering why I haven't been whinging about the heat - well, I can't keep quiet any longer, I'm flaking out and will have to log off for a while. SYAL xxx
