Asha is the proud parent of 3 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM - now called Brodie - as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha. Brodie had a lot of trouble fending off intruders which has made him a bit flaky in the fish catching and delivery department. Poor old Asha didn't eat for over 2 days last week. The main intruder was KL5, who seems to have stopped hanging around so much now, which is good as we approach hatch date and the need for fish will ramp up.
A scylla-super-snap of the happy parents-to-be
Also, courtesy of scylla, here are the laying dates;
25 April - egg 1
28 April - egg 2
01 May - egg 3
Just showing the 2 chicks with nice crops and not eating, and #1 is travelling a bit.
Brodie was "out there" before and after fishing:
IMAGICAT
Aw, another good day at LG, these bobbleheads are no more, quickly growing into bigger chicks! Not too much intrusion today, fish and sun. All going well. Lovely updates, thanks to all.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Asha's given the bobs a couple of feeds from a bit of rather tough/old looking fish. Nice to see them both now they're coming out of the nest cup

FISH !!! !!! !!!
Not a good view from the PTZ.
06:15 - posted earlier in the wrong thread!
Our nest is on TV - BBC Breakfast.
Shame that Asha is brooding the chicks and the picture is quite dull due to sun direction/time of day.
They should be returning to it over the course of the programme, let's hope they catch the chicks active.
Asha & feather:
I'm trying to figure out why Asha has been (seemingly) fish-calling in 2 sessions since the first feed. Back later...
After feeding the chicks again and again, Asha flew off with the fish @ 06:50:
Returned a few minutes later fishless:
Asha has just returned from the latest of many flyabouts. We need at least 3 observers on duty 24/7 with state-of-the-art bins to keep us informed of what the heck's going on
I'm taking a break - oops, that was another fly-off-n-back !!!

Chat suggests she flew off with the breakfish and dropped it.....
