Asha is the proud parent of 3 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM - now called Brodie - as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha. Brodie had a lot of trouble fending off intruders which has made him a bit flaky in the fish catching and delivery department. Poor old Asha didn't eat for over 2 days last week. The main intruder was KL5, who seems to have stopped hanging around so much now, which is good as we approach hatch date and the need for fish will ramp up.

Also, courtesy of scylla, here are the laying dates;
25 April - egg 1
28 April - egg 2
01 May - egg 3

Nice early headless FISH from Brodie!
After hungry Asha guiltily fed herself some, there was quite a long feed during which you can enjoy not seeing our osplet!
A teeny glimpse of osplet's bobbling head after 05:40 feed:

I even opened up the thread in a new tab while I had RF open to make sure there was no-one posting that I might clash with - but in you snuck, dear KORKY
Brodie didn't fly from the old nest area until 06:26 - Asha was shouting for him to go fishing again.
Chick-feeds @ 06:14, 06:53, 07:32 we got a look at osplet's spotty back of head (vid below), Asha fed herself @ 08:05, during which time the osplet bobbled good but not in our direction. Chick-feed 08:30, Asha-feed 09:20. chick-feed 09:50. 10:30... I couldn't see if there was any fish left when Asha flew on a break.
We desperately need another fish, cos if there's any left at all it'll only be the tailfin, I sh'ink (That's Cornish for I should think - you can tell I'm getting senile.)
There has been no search for Brodie on the PTZ (EDIT - which must mean that the VC haven't seen him).

When that happens to me I check Task Manager to see what's using up resources but it never shows anything unusual - but I still check every blooming time.
BTW, if you have a Win10 PC in the house you can copy Snipping Tool and paste it into your Win11 folder. I would need to refresh memory on the method.
SheilaFE said:She does keep looking down to the nest nest her breast. Can she hear cheeping going on, or is #2 egg hatching?
I have always thought that the only hatch would be #2, I can't remember why I "wrote off" #3, will need to check back.
Asha has been contact calling in short bursts and then she flew and returned with...
... a stick, of course, and not a very clear one:
I think there's thunder in the air. The PTZ has withdrawn to give us the "floating nest" view.
EDIT - I'm on a break and may need to have a nap.
Fish ahoy?!
FISH !!! !!! !!! Well headless.
There's a treat in store - little one's head is popping up over the stick on the PTZ - a token:
Unless he nipped in and stole the fish, I don't know why Asha is giving him such a hard time?
That's an even fabbier fish than it looked on the PTZ:
She's at last stopped screeching (and oh my, was she screeching?!) and it sounds from her peeps as if there's another feed going on but I can't see that live.
I'm off!
