After a start/stoppy kinda season, we now have settled couple "URM" (until LG give him a name) and Asha, or Mistle as some would prefer.
Asha is the proud parent of 2 eggs, the father of which being dubious but probably URM, as we hardly saw NN2 (for whom we wish all the best elsewhere) be accepted by Asha.
URM and Asha are similarly marked but distinguishable by certain differences which I may slot in here but I've lost them for the time being.
Asha (R) is looking rather small in this snap because she's crestfallen due to no supper:
Because Asha did so much work on the nest before she had a partner, there hasn't been a lot for URM to do - but he has quite frequently brought in nest material - and his fish provisions have been regular and willingly handed over. He's a promising Osprey dad so far.

But he'd jumped the gun an he had to fly back and resume incubation - not for long tho, as Asha returned with about half the fish left and he took it from her somewhat reluctant talons:

I think any hoolie would have to dislodge quite a few more sticks than "it" for it to be released. One of our birds bounced on it and it wouldn't come out. How did they manage to get it so firmly stuck?!
Brodie brought some fish back but Asha had gone stick-hunting so he took it away again. Shows his heart's in the right place.
Brought it back again a few minutes later, this time he ate some and then incubated until Asha arrived with a monstrosity:
Who knows how he suffered under here? He got up and may have picked up the fish piece, Asha thought things and chirped and took off again!
So back to the eggs Brodie went, until Asha brought in monstrosity #2, which must have been this shape but we never got to see the whole thing:
As expected, the stick overbalanced, leaving just a bit sticking up at the back - Brodie having gratefully escaped.

Due to a tantrum because I can't tell who is who in the dim morning light... I'll just say that there's been at least one changeover, no fish.
OK Catlady ( I am too BTW) it's working for me today too but yesterday was like first of the month, sigh
Sorry for that Scylla, I have to regularly wait for a full face view to see the difference even in full daylight
I too still have difficulty in deciding who is who, but have done a timeline, and had to change is at least twice when I realised they had swapped!
05.26 Asha at sunrise
06.27 Brodie arrived with a sticky stick. Asha was immediately up and away. Brodie incubated.
06.41 Asha returned, possibly with a small stick, and started to rearrange the furniture. She was in danger of losing some sticks over the side.
06.43 Asha flies to the right.
07.36.56 Asha returns and moves more sticks around. Getting very close to Brodie. More sticks to the front!! Oh no, Asha, it's bad enough with the stick blocking the central view!
07.38 Asha is off again
And returns very quickly with a piece of bark. Lots of contact cheeps as she moves sticks and bark around on the front 'wall'.
07.41 Brodie gets up and leaves. Asha incubates.
08.05 Asha starts to call
08.14 Brodie lands with a small stick. Asha gets up and flies off. Brodie incubates.
08.20 Asha brings in a large stick, which she first tries on the right rim, and decides on the front of the nest rim.
08.27 She leaves
08.28 Asha returns, and tidies the nest again. She moves the large stick further to the front, and adds a licheny sticky stick to the pile. She spends a little time making sure everything is stable. They both watch something flying overhead. Brodie has a go at the stick across the front of the nest. While Asha faffs at the back. Contact call, moan? Oh Asha, she picks up a really awkward stick which leads to her moving the big front stick again. She really isn't happy with that big stick.
08.31 She is off again.
08.39 Back again, moving sticks around the nest. Poor Brodie is being biffed around, and eventually gets up.
08.41 Brodie flies off, Asha settles.
10.50 Clouds have been building in the sky, but the sun is out.
11.17 It starts to rain
11.39 It has stopped.
12.05 It has been very quiet. The sun is out. Asha stands up, stretches her wings, and spots a wayward stick on the back rim. It is sticking up, and I'm not sure how it got there! She checks it,
12.07 And flies off.
12.09 She returns, stickless – I think – and settles down again.
12.56 The wind suddenly got up.
13.09 The sun is out, and all is well with the world!
