Here's my contribution, yes that fish needs to be removed, I can make out 2 chicks!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I have been watching this tragic event, think one chick was squashed under the fish when Maya settled on top, was praying she'd move that fish but she didn't, hope I'm wrong!
33 landed and made a few attempts to get the fish, Maya moved a couple of times but sat down again. 33 now flown, oh dear, I so wish she would move that fish.
Maya had a quick pick at the fish, I thought she may move it, than a quick fly off the nest and now back down again. How events can change so quickly. I am willing her to move the fish, hope all will be well.
I’ve checked the last time Maya got up and there was movement from all 4 chicks. The tiny one at the very front has its head tucked well down but there was a slight movement showing the top of its head so fingers crossed it’ll be okay.
Same photo under magnification. The fish is lying right down the middle, 2 chicks on either side. The arrow shows where #4 bob’s head is.
Hopefully good news in the morning.
4 little bob heads with #4 on the right side of the fish.1,2 and 3 are being fed, #4 is still sleepy and getting squashed under the fish now and then (Maya: Get it out of the way please!!)#3 is facing the wrong way now after it flipped over
