15:03 Another feed underway
stuffed full
Absolutely heart breaking thinking and seeing poor little #4.
Taking a break - SYL
At the 13:56 feed #3 was with its back to maya.. instead of turning around it got a reversed feeding.. even though it's not the perfect way to get large bites in
2 feeds at 3 pm and 5 pm.
1 and 2 are fed first. 3 is laying back and wakes up 10 min later.. smart kid as it won't get much at first..
Maya reaching over to feed #3
Then maya gets some hay.. and some more
33 helps Maya spreading the hay
Leaving the chicks covered under the hay
They can get their heads up barely above the hay.. and it's impossible to tell who's who (at first).1 & 2 in front though, getting a good feed..3 gets a bite or 2, but then maya moves to the side and is in between the chicks and the cam. She keeps on feeding, and closer to 3, so maybe it got more than just 2 bites
Great captures and observations Bart, thank you
20.41 feed: three bobs visible, even Bob3 gets a bite when 1&2 have been fed. Maya’s blocking the view after a bit, but it does look like they all get some. No sign of Bob4 - if it has indeed died, far better a quick end than a slow lingering… very sad..
It is so desperately sad to read today's news - thinking of you Karen, I know how hard this must be for you...
33 brought in another large live fish this morning and of course, the usual happened. It broke free and ended up on the bobs. They protected themselves though, curling their heads down low and all 3 emerged to have a good feed.
