This is a new thread following the Osprey nest at Alyth electricity sub station, located in the Perth and Kinross region.
The Ospreys have nested at the site for many years, first year was around 1990.
They were nesting on a nearby electricity tower, but due to a planned expansion of the site a decision was taken to resite the old nest to a specially constructed 25-metre nesting tower and two nearby 8.5 metre resting perches, which were erected in 2014. Advice was sought from Roy Dennis.Since that first breeding season in 2014, a total of 14 osprey chicks have been observed to have fledged from the new site.
The resident ospreys are called Harry and Flora, named by a local school in Alyth. All pupils were also given their own osprey soft toy as a thank you from the teams for getting involved and for showing such enthusiasm about the ospreys.

Good morning, a fine misty start to the day. (the haar)
Flora in good voice calling for a fishy breakfast.
Flora laid an egg early evening.
Harry came to visit. Oh that plastic bagging.
Many thanks, Glider :) And yes, that awful plastic... :( Well done, Flora (and Harry, of course!)
Perhaps it was a 'phantom' egg they had been incubating! lol

Haha, you never know Sandra. We’ve seen females practising feeding (chicks) into thin air. (Asha, Garten 2022 springs to mind)

Fish delivery to Flora this morning
Her talons slip down the fish’s body as she tries to grip it so she decides to fly off with it in her beak!Harry doesn’t have to incubate long as Flora quickly eats most of the fish and returns with a small tail end about half an hour later.
Harry takes the fish and off he goes leaving Flora to settle back down again on her egg.
Intruder alert from Flora
He flies overhead.
Flora defends so fiercely and wing flaps ensuring the intruder can’t land on the nest.
He settles on the cam pole. Flora is not happy about that.
She does more wing flaps
and she squawks too!
After a few seconds, the intruder seems to have left
and Flora settles down again.
Harry brings in tail end of a fish
He has blood on his lower body, hopefully just from the fish.
Flora takes it
and flies off for a quick snack. Harry settles on the egg.
