This is a new thread following the Osprey nest at Alyth electricity sub station, located in the Perth and Kinross region.
The Ospreys have nested at the site for many years, first year was around 1990.
They were nesting on a nearby electricity tower, but due to a planned expansion of the site a decision was taken to resite the old nest to a specially constructed 25-metre nesting tower and two nearby 8.5 metre resting perches, which were erected in 2014. Advice was sought from Roy Dennis.Since that first breeding season in 2014, a total of 14 osprey chicks have been observed to have fledged from the new site.
The resident ospreys are called Harry and Flora, named by a local school in Alyth. All pupils were also given their own osprey soft toy as a thank you from the teams for getting involved and for showing such enthusiasm about the ospreys.

Thanks for checking, Glider. Yes, that does seem a little quick if there was an egg already. To me, it appeared that they were changing over incubation duties. Hopefully, it all becomes clearer in the morning, will have to check to see if there is behaviour of egg rolling!
Well there was surely no egg after the first sitting session of the morning - because they wouldn't do this, would they? Or would they?
I haven't seen any egg-turning but could have missed it.
02:35 - she's been standing in various areas - reminds me of the Captiva female coming up to laying time - but here she is over the nestcup:

Thanks Scylla, on scroll back I see she was off the nest cup most of the night but stayed on the nest. Weather looked atrocious, driving rain. In the morning Harry came to mate.
Some catch up pics of today
Flora preening
Then in the nest cup
And out
And in
Drier weather
Harry in the nest cup and Flora bending his ear for fish!
The plastic sheeting has been getting pulled into the nest cup. ️
Flora knows there’s a fish coming
Well done Harry. It’s bigger than it looks!
It’s a live flounder
Tricky to get into position
But she manages and off Flora goes.

State of the nest in the evening:
Flora flew to the perch last night to roost at 20.36. She had more than a couple of hours of driving rain to endure early on.
Good morning
Where’s my fish?!
Major intrusion late lunchtime today - UNEDITED - 4 ospreys involved, I've made no comments, nor have I studied the participants because it's all kicked off at LG:
As the day unfolded, the nest had to be defended from many intruders.
Unseen intruder at 10.42, Flora defending the nest.
Then again at 12.43. This time the unringed intruder swoops in low and Flora fights back.
Sky dancing is then heard
