HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a peaceful, safe, serene week!

  • RUSTY: I hope you were able to get your antibiotics. I'm sorry you will need the dental work done. I know it's very expensive here. Hope you are soon pain free. (I HATE going to the dentist.)

AQ: Congrats on being able to drive again. I'm happy for you. Sorry about your glasses, though. Hope they get them rectified.

dibnlib: I hope Benson is okay now..

LINDY: Have a safe journey and a lovely time in Wales.
  • OH now has fully functioning computer with new hard drive. Phew.  Everything was backed up. He's happy (but poorer).  :-)

Diane:  Tx for the update.  Are you still without internet?

  • ANNETTE: The short answer is no, I don't have internet, except on my phone. I have a health insurance debacle that I must resolve before I can devote time to solving the internet debacle. The health insurance mess is so complicated and frustrating that it's making me ill (ironic, right?). My life is suddenly very challenging, and I can only cope with one crisis at a time. I think the universe is trying to send me a message. lol
  • DIANE Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. Benson is fine now, thank you.

LINDY Hope you enjoy your return to your caravan in Wales.
  • LINDY - safe journey to Wales - hope that the weather is kind.
  • ANNETTE - I got the ' blue screen of death' once ! Got it fixed and touch wood haven't had it again...
DIANE - I'm so sorry about your health insurance problems. I can't pretend to understand it all but just wanted to send best wishes for sorting it out.
AQ - What a pest that they got your specs prescription wrong. Anyway, wishing you well as you try driving again.
RUSTY - thinking about your tooth, hope the ABs will help.
  • Heather - thanks for the wishes re my tooth. It’s bearable but I have got the antibiotics because Easter is coming and I didn’t want it to get worse when I couldn’t get help. They were not that expensive and I have taken the first one. Nice bonus was that I met a friend and her husband at the chemists and ended up going back to their house for a coffee and chat!!!
Diane - you are going through a really bad time at the moment aren’t you what with scary weather, no Internet and then this health insurance problem. For all we moan about the NHS we are very lucky here I know. Sending love and hoping you can get things sorted soon.
Lindy - safe and smooth journey to Wales.
I had planned to plant my sweet peas this afternoon but it has decided to pour down!!!!
  • Diane:   Hated to check 'Like' on your post; we need a 'Commiserations' option.  We do spend so much energy being proactive with all these pesky complications.  It's exhausting.    Helpful hugs from here (I hope).

Heather:  Yes, it was the blue screen and it earned its moniker (but banished now!)  :-)

Rusty: Glad you got the meds.  At least they'll settle things down for the weekend.

Got more work done in the garden yesterday.  What with all that rain and now warm temps and sunshine, things are growing with a vengeance.

  • Diane - You probably know this already, but SHIIP is extremely helpful when navigating the Medicare Supplemental Plans. Every state has a SHIIP office and it is free. My DiL and older son used them after I mentioned it and found them very useful. The offices are usually in the local hospitals. Sorry if you have already seen them. Best of luck with solving all your problems, it can be so tiring and overwhelming!

  • bjane: Re Medigap coverage, those sites are so helpful I've no idea what Diane's immediate concerns are, but it helps to know that the Medigap plans are standardized and there are comparison charts. Just in case that's the - um - case, here's a link to the Indiana website. www.in.gov/.../. :-)
