First post of the season
I've just come across a 'live' webcam on N7, 'the nest with a view'!!
It's very windy at the moment, and thus noisy, but the song birds are clear enough. A scene of sunny domesticity!
It was posted by Kielder Star Camp on their FB page

Derwent Reservoir, 14 June 2023. Looks like 598, S98 or similar. Ring on left leg so presumably a Scottish bird. Has it been seen before at Kielder

It looks like 598, there is no S98. She hasn't been seen at Kielder. Please report your sighting to https://www.roydennis.org/report-a-colour-ringed-osprey/(

It has been reported but as yet no reply. If I get a reply I will let you know. Was just wondering if she had been seen at Kielder - she appears to have just arrived with us and I figured that she most likely had been further north.
That ring hasn't been captured on a camera, but some intruders are too far away from the nest. It's quite possible she is exploring up as far as Kielder. I'll let you know if we find her!

Hopefully will get a reply from Roy Dennis . Certainly the ring could have been put on upside down and that would then read X65 but the 5 is so clear that you would expect the first digit to be as clear if it was another 5 - 565. So it remains a mystery for now.
