RUSTY - If only I were travelling, I would be on your doorstep ASAP!

Oh, such snow, Rusty! We only have a light covering here, & that must have fallen recently as there was none in the night when I got up.

Glad everyone enjoyed the bit of poetry - I went back to it to try & get rid of the big gaps at the end, but it only got worse!!

AQ -- I'm packing up some snow now, well insulated with tissue paper, to send you Down Under!

Terrible photos on the News of drivers stranded in the bad weather on the tops of the hills - why do people attempt to travel in such weather?

View from by my sink in the kitchen of our camellia- there is as much below the windowsill as there's a drop from the house.

There is always a cup of tea on offer here AQ!!!

Lindy - lovely photo. As you could see, all the colour in my garden is hidden!!! I too wondered why people were travelling trans Pennine after all the warnings.

My tulips are re emerging but I think my tête à têtes have had it. There is a huge clump of them under there somewhere!!!

The snow came over the top of my hiking boots when I went out to take the photos!

Agree with others, Not good for those stranded, but was their journey really essential?

LINDY - I feel nostalgic, I lived on the outskirts of a Devon market town (Tavistock) with fields behind . But that was 45 years ago.

We have had about 2cm of snow over the last 2 days but it has all but melted away after the sun showed itself.

Hope all are coping with the different weather conditions and keep warm and well.
