After the tragedy of 2021, the 2022 Season was a great success, with 3 beautiful youngsters fledging and migrating - Blue 497, 498 and 499 (courtesy of Glider):
Here's to the safe return of our precious pair, MrsG (thank you MaryGK for the original snap) and Aran:

GLASLYN YOUTUBE CHANNEL - where the latest live stream links can always be found.
Today, this year's indispensable volunteers gathered to give us a Group Wave, and I thought we should pay tribute to them here:
(How sparse this seems for a season OP - but it's all I've got to give. I think we need the new thread sooner rather than later, being mindful of the likelihood of Dovey Devils and/or Clywedog Kids swooping in )
IMAGICAT
A decent sized fish all to himself
I know you did Sandra
Around 17.30 both birds were on the nest together with a fish each. Aran to the right.
There were some lovely zoomies of Aran earlier.
He’d look good on a stamp! Which is my best side?…….. Or perhaps straight on!
Your right ! Aran would look good on a stamp Glider
Kind regards, Ann

I can't make out what this refers to
Apparently Aran's lunchtime fish was very big - he's still got a lot left later when he takes it to the nest - in anticipation of donating it to URF? But oh dear, she brought her own! Consternated flapping from Aran
(This post has been sitting in an open RF box since yesterday afternoon when I just had to back up and couldn't get going again until now.)
Hoo rah to that Gardenbirder if it happens. Thinking about her behavior a little more, it's rather like 33's intrusive female before Maya arrived back - Ospreys know when they are being disrespectful however old they are. 33 got poohed on - quite deliberate on the female's behalf. Same with NRF at Glaslyn. Twice she poohed in the nest showing she cared little for it - she knew what she was doing and she just wanted a free meal or two from Aran (just manipulation). I'm sure she has a 'beau' elsewhere. Just like our dear Monty , frantically producing fish for those females that were just passing through.
Just call me the Osprey whisperer
It is so good to see Aran finally resolved to 'move on' and the nest is receiving a lot of attention now. Great stuff boy. There's another very special lady about to arrive for you.
This is a better shot of the nest currently
Due to the relevance, I thought I would post a link to this SWT video which shows an intrusion today (10.4.23) at LotL. 8C hatched on the Glaslyn nest in 2014, parents Orange 98 and dear Mrs G. She has a very dark necklace, just like her sorely missed mum
NC0 vs Ringed Intruder Blue 8C
Aww, good to see 8C back Sandra. (Although NC0 would disagree!)
Lovely Aran spent today by himself.
