Dorcha bringing her one and only fish on 18th August 2022 before departing and not being seen again
Louis incubating the eggs while Aila is seen flying with a fish in the misty distance on 9th May 2020.
All captures in whatever format are copyright Woodland Trust - with many thanks for allowing captures from their nest cam livestreams
Thursday 15th June Nest One 13.44 Prince appears, and Affric allows him to mount. No matig, looks like just reaffirming their bond. Interesting that she takes fish from LV0 but won't let him mount, always flicks him away, even nipped him once when he was too persistent.
Thursday 15th June Nest Two 14.36
Hangry chick attacks Dorcha - attack goes on for a while so I did this in quick-time at 4x speed. Fortunately Louis arrived with fish and diverted the chick's attention. Dorcha just moved away.
Thursday 15th June Nest Two: Fish number two arrives at14.44.35
Thursday 15th June Nest One 17.28 LV0 brings a fish to the empty nest but alarm calls and quickly leaves with it. Was that Prince or Louis he was seeing out of cam view?
Thursday 15th June Nest Two 21.35.22 Late night supper arrives - fish number three for the day. Louis left with the remnant an hour later (not in this clip).

Perhaps the heat was getting to the chick as well as it wanting fish? Wow, that is one feisty chick, I've never seen anything as prolonged as that before.
Thanks for your vids and daily summaries, Geemeff!

Yes, it’s incredible that a chick of that size would attack its mum like that. I don’t think it liked being knocked with the sticks!
I appreciate all you post here too Geemeff. I know how time consuming it is and you give us such a wonderful flavour of what’s going on, even throwing in a piece of music to entertain us!!
Friday 16th June:
