2022 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 13th March; NC0(16) - 23rd March
Looking forward to welcoming back Laddie and NC0 to this wonderful location at Loch of the Lowes. Will Laddie, in his 12th season, beat his earliest arrival date that he achieved last year? Will NC0, her 4th season, be heard before she is seen on cam? Could we see the return of their 2021 offspring, LR1 and LR2? Here's hoping they have safe, spring migrations so as to grace our screens once again.

Sandra P said:Great news isn't it Korky and Karen! And how about the egg laying times - 9:32, 9:39 and c9:11 on her 3 day intervals - amazing! Oddly enough, Laddie had come to check the number a little while before NC0 went into labour! Sorry you were just a little late to watch it, Korky - she squeaked more than grunted this time. (Edit: Yes, they do make little 'farts' too! lol) You're on Karen, hatch watch will be very interesting! lol

Maya beat her by a couple of hours - her third egg was laid at 06.54.
But, who will have the first hatch?
Watch this and the MB thread soon to find out, Geemeff! lol

Morning Glider and All,
Aww, thank you, likewise Glider
Laddie paid a quick visit to NC0 at 6:23ish, there was no change over for incubation but NC0 did have a quiet natter to him - breakfish please?
7:06 NC0 flapped her wings and headed off for a short comfort break
At present, NC0 continuing to incubate
NC0 flapped an unringed Osprey off the nest at 8:35ish - no alarm calls
She had been on silent alert, seemingly interested in what was going on in front of her
There was a flight from the birch - could that have been Laddie?
A second or 2 afterwards, this Osprey appeared and hovered above NC0, made the briefest of touchdowns before flying off
NC0 flapped her wings and it departed
The unringed intruder made touchdown again at around 9:44 (LS is freezing/pixelating). NC0 chipped/alarm called just beforehand
She saw it approaching the nest
Laddie arrived at 9:58ish
Laddie took over incubation approximately 7/8 minutes after arriving
NC0 arrived back to take over, not before moving one of the front edge sticks
Laddie after arriving at 10:45
10:49 Both have been watchful
