2022 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 13th March; NC0(16) - 23rd March
Looking forward to welcoming back Laddie and NC0 to this wonderful location at Loch of the Lowes. Will Laddie, in his 12th season, beat his earliest arrival date that he achieved last year? Will NC0, her 4th season, be heard before she is seen on cam? Could we see the return of their 2021 offspring, LR1 and LR2? Here's hoping they have safe, spring migrations so as to grace our screens once again.

WendyBartter said:Appreciate your tenacity in dealing with cam problems Sandra ... might we see a third egg on this Easter Day?
It is a struggle,.. I just so happened to be watching 'live' when Laddie began chipping so I took the time from my laptop clock. A third egg, if NC0 will lay one, Wendy, will most probably be tomorrow - she has routinely laid her eggs in 3 day intervals over the past couple of years.
A pleasure, Wendy :)
NC0 returned to take over incubation at 12:52ish - just under 5hrs 20 mins after Laddie began his shift, what a star he is!
He flew of immediately - enjoy your break, Laddie!

Laddie to the nest at 13:52ish, nothing in his talons
Just scanning the sky, no alarm calls
NC0 left the nest and landed on the birch
Laddie happily incubating again
15:35 Laddie is still keeping the eggs safe and warm
He has been resting his eyes on occasion
*The LS is still 'playing up', unfortunately

16:11 NC0 returned
Laddie left the nest straightaway
Cam zoomed in as NC0 settled - no clear view of the eggs
The LS then jumped, and it was back to normal nest view
Laddie paid a short visit to the nest at 16:36ish
A headless fish delivered to NC0 at 19:34
LS froze
She was then seen flying to and landing on the birch
It took Laddie a little while to settle on the eggs as he appeared use his left talons to stamp down/flatten the base of the nest cup (as well as plenty of aerating!)
NC0 returned to the nest perch at 20:32, no fish in talons
The LS froze as NC0 hopped onto the nest, I think she may have caught her right wing slightly on the thin sticky up branch of the stick at the back, left side of the nest
She attempted to break the end of the twig off a couple of times
Laddie flew off (the LS had frozen)
Laddie landed on the birch
*If NC0's feather falls out, can I have it sent to me, please! lol
