2022 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 13th March; NC0(16) - 23rd March
Looking forward to welcoming back Laddie and NC0 to this wonderful location at Loch of the Lowes. Will Laddie, in his 12th season, beat his earliest arrival date that he achieved last year? Will NC0, her 4th season, be heard before she is seen on cam? Could we see the return of their 2021 offspring, LR1 and LR2? Here's hoping they have safe, spring migrations so as to grace our screens once again.

A BAT just shot down thru the cam:
IMAGICAT

8:15ish NC0 had left the birch and there were glimpses of her flying around (here, heading away from behind the cam)

8:34 NC0 to the nest, with the fish piece in her left talons
Mating at 8:37
8:37 NC0 headed off back to the birch. Laddie headed off in that direction shortly afterwards
10:10 All calm. Laddie watching his area, NC0, I assume, still on the birch
I'm out for most of the day but will BBL.
Good afternoon !!!
I don't think anyone appeared this morning until 06:05, when Laddie flew in with a fish - when NC0 came (no screeching) to collect, he had a flyabout with it, then it was handed over peacefully and NC0 flew to the birch with it. A cheeky corvid joined Laddie for a short while, Laddie didn't seem to mind much.
(This is from my screen-capture with measly timeline on it, I've haven't yet got around to lugging it over so I can type a decent timeline.)
Whinge: I can't help wishing that "they" had dislodged some of the sticks that seem to be jammed into the nest, Laddie has a more difficult task this year.
Practice is req'd in the mating dept - and NC0 has brought in quite a few sticks, the second part of this shows a large, forked one that turned out to be too much to deal with:
Fab videos, Scylla, thank you!
It appears that NC0's Darvic ring has split? A cropped pic taken from your 2nd video

Well spotted - that explains why I was having screw my eyes up to see her ring - I thought at first it was Laddie brought the big stick, simply taking it for granted rather than looking - then there was too much breast pattern, then... aha!
