Richard B
Early morning fish for CJ7. It has a narrow tail and wide body so I’d say it’s a grey mullet, like yesterday’s fish!
This shot clearly shows the smaller finer scales on the flank of the fish. In this case it shows it is a Bass.
Here's a couple of poictures of a Bass and a Mullet.
Bass
Mullet
I hope they help a bit. Also the Mullet is a much wider fish across the back than a Bass
18.35 An evening fish delivery for CJ7.
It’s CJ7’s 2nd sea bass of the day.
Unknown said:One of the helpful things is what looks like stripes from head to tail on the mullet with big scales.
I see what you mean Richard, it does look stripey.
You can now book a tour to see the ospreys on their nest!

15.53 First fish of the day. 022 made a couple of contact calls as he approached the nest.
CJ7 was up quickly to receive it.
And off she goes
I reckon this is a sea bass as it’s more streamlined, has smaller scales on flank and I can’t see “stripes” pattern.
Has it got sea lice on its back? (Bumps)
