Earlier this evening I was sadly informed of the death, on Saturday evening, of the death of our dear Patily.
I hope further tributes will follow, as I'm sure they will.
Ospreys were Patily's obsession and despite her incredible disabilities she visited several centres.
She was one very 'gutsy' lady who I had the privilege of meeting at Rutland.
I am hoping I have more success with this post than the earlier one.
This illustrates the battles she fought.
RIP dear Patily.
Birdies LG DU update.
I was truly sorry to hear of Patily’s passing and my heartfelt condolence to all who knew her in person and online here. She was a lovely person and will be sorely missed.
Thank you Shari for the link to Pat’s service. It was beautiful and Loch Garten will be even more special to us now.
RIP Pat and fly high with the osprey
Thank you to everyone for watching her service online and all the lovely comments
She is dearly missed and we gathered at her flat after the service
Also she had a perspex bird feeder which I have taken to where I work with people with Dementia
Nit many birds had used it but on Tuesday on the day I was leaving to travel to funeral a beautiful Robin appeared and fed on the feeder , I do believe was a sign from dear Pat
I do have some spare order if services
Do let me know if you would like one
Mary the celebrant was lovely and my two boys help carry pat in
I found it hard to sing but managed to compose myself
The snow at Golders Green made it even mire poignant
I sm gathering all her osprey pics , and found her notebooks on her observations over the years
I will try and send some here
Many thanks
Sharon and family xxxx
Shari - Thank you so much for all your updates at this sad time for you and the family.
My life has been somewhat of a roller coaster this year, and I am so sorry to say I missed the funeral. There was mention that it might be available as a recording at some point. Is there a link I could use to be able to watch it?
It will be a poignant time of year not to have Patily with us as the first osprey start to return.
